James King & Karan Armstrong in the ghost scene from the end of Act I of Erich Korngold's unfairly neglected masterpiece, Die Tote Stadt. Berlin, 1983.
In this scene, the ghost of Paul's dead wife, Marie, returns to him to confront him over his new infatuation with Marietta. Paul assures her that he only sees her in Marietta ("nur dich seh ich in ihr"). They each sing the line, "Unsre Liebe war, ist und wird sein" ("Our love was, is, and will be"), to the reoccurring theme from the famed Marietta's Lied from earlier in the opera.
