NZSO: Shed Series - Speed

The NZSO presents another edition of its lauded Shed Series online and invites you all to Engage@Home with a programme curated by Principal Conductor in Residence Hamish McKeich made up of several small dynamic works and featuring superstar German-Canadian Cellist Johannes Moser, as well as a World Premiere by accomplished NZ composer, musician and producer David Long. Johannes Moser has performed twice as soloist with the NZSO and is scheduled to return later in the year to perform both a Podium Series and Shed Series concert in late-August. His easy-going demeanour belies his intensely lyrical playing and superb musicianship, and on this occasion, Moser will join NZSO cellists to play a work by celebrated NZ composer Gareth Farr. David Long will premiere his piece, Needing a Long Long Walk, with NZSO Section Principals Bridget Douglas (Flute) and Carolyn Mills (Harp).
