Celebrate Asia 2015 U.S. Premiere of Revive, Concerto for Koto and Shakuhachi, by Japanese Composer Yugo Kanno Carolyn Kuan, Guest Conductor Dozan Fujiwara, Shakuhachi Artist Chiaki Endo, Koto Artist Seattle Symphony This is a live performance of Yugo Kanno’s Revive, which received its U.S. premiere during the Seattle Symphony’s Celebrate Asia concert on March 1, 2015 at Benaroya Hall. The piece, written in honor of the Tohoku tsunami disaster, was presented with the help and support from Yoshi and Naomi Minegishi as well as other members of Seattle’s Japanese community. It was co-commissioned by the Seattle Symphony and the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.
