Griffith Chamber Players is a young and vibrant chamber ensemble founded in 2011. Originally starting as a student 'shadow' ensemble to The Lunaire Collective, Griffith Chamber Players has grown in numbers and begun to take off on its own. The ensemble brings together some of the finest young musicians, past and present, from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Last year Griffith Chamber Players performed Charles Ives' The 'Unanswered Question' along with Richard Wagner's 'Siegfried Idyll'. In 2012 players look forward to bringing a youthful energy to the music they perform; highlights will include performing alongside The Lunaire Collective and engagements during 'Crossbows' Chamber Music Festival, held at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in May.
