The Pinnacle Ensemble was founded as Queen Mary’s Consort in 2006 by its director Michael Waldron for a concert in Trinity College Chapel, Cambridge. Since its creation, the group has given concerts across the UK (most recently in Salisbury, Winchester and Portsmouth Cathedrals), as well as numerous venues across Cambridge and London. The Choir established itself as one of the finest and most diverse choral groups in Cambridge. Now based in London and named after the building in which the new group was formed, the group exists as a professional chamber choir with repertoire ranging from Bach and Purcell, to contemporary works by Lukaszewski, MacMillan, Pärt and Tavener.
