Alexander Scriabin, Composer
(1872 - 1915). Russian composer. His early piano works were inspired by those of Chopin and Liszt, with an increasing affinity for the lush harmonic textures of Wagner. Interests in mystical philosophies, especially theosophy, greatly inspired his later music. This also propelled him to even more innovative harmonic techniques.
