Isaac Albéniz, Composer
Isaac Albéniz (1860-1909) was a Spanish composer and pianist. A child prodigy, he began to perform at the age of four, passed the entrance exam for the Paris Conservatoire (but was refused admission for being too young), and had toured the world by age 15. His works, mostly for piano, exhibit an idiomatic Spanish nationalism, often being guitar-like in timbre.
