The United Chamber Orchestra   is one of the youngest new ensembles in the musical world. The idea of its creating came from Elena Nogaeva - pianist, the director of Oldenburg Promenade Music Festival in Germany, and Piotr Borkowski – former director of Gorzow Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland. The new orchestra was built from its very beginning. The numbers of international auditions done in 2010 and 2011 resulted with gathering talented, young and yet experienced musicians from several countries – Poland, Russia, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea and South Africa. Many of them became also members of several other orchestras including the Gorzow Philharmonic and the Berlin Opera.

During two years of intensive working, ensemble enjoyed many successful concerts, tours and important recording projects. 

In June 2012 orchestra toured Germany for Oldenburg Promenade Music Festival, and  Poland including two performances of Mozart's "Cosi fan tutte" at the Warsaw National Opera - Grand Theatre.

In 2012 members of United Chamber Orchestra participated in famous project, organized by Wieniawski Music Society and Gorzow Philharmonic -  CD recorded with Soyoung Yoon - 1st prize winner of International Wieniawski Violin Competition. This CD got nomination to famous ICMA (International Classical Music Award), and nomination to Polish phonography award FRYDERYK.

Recently in October 2013 the orchestra had a very successful concert tour in South-West Germany for Markgrafler Musikherbst Festival, where its concerts got enthusiastic applause.

Orchestra has broad repertoire experience from Baroque to modern.  
The famous artists, worked with the orchestra include: Maxim Vengerov, Ivan Monighetti, Soyoung Yoon, Fabio Bidini, Malgorzata Walewska, Adam Makowicz, Ilya Rashkovskiy, Denis Zhdanov, Sergio Sorrentino, Zvi Carmeli, Katarina Andreasson and others. 


Our concert masters are: Mr. Tomasz Tomaszewski - 1st concert master of German Opera in Berlin, Professor at UDK, and Mr. Piotr Prysiaznik - 1st violin player of German Opera in Berlin.

Our principal flutist is Ms. Rita D'Arcangelo, former student of Maestro James Galway – outstanding solo player and competitions prize winner, who has great orchestra experience as a member of the Philharmonie der Nationen and Osaka Philharmonic in Japan. Orchestra basically has 30 members, but also collaborates with extra musicians (the highest level form Poland and Berlin) to set up small symphony orchestra (ca. 40-45 musicians).


The Music Director of the orchestra is Piotr Borkowski.
