Biography

The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Chorus was founded as a subsidiary of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra.  The ECSC presents classical works of Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart, Haydn and many other major composers.  The ensemble also performs works by local renowned composers, and, as part of its Annual Holiday Concert, presents secular and sacred selections. It is an energetic group of auditioned volunteer singers who range in age from high school students to octogenarians, and currently consists of 84 members. The Chorus rehearses weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7pm - 9pm  from September through April, at the First Congregational Church located at 66 Union Street in New London. The Chorus performs a minimum of two concerts annually.
