Bassist, Gunnar Biggs has been a prominent figure in the Southern California music scene for over forty years.  TV appearances include KPBS' Club Date and the Emmy-award winning documentary, "Three Generations of the Blues." A former professor at San Diego State University and Palomar College, he has recently retired and continues to teach at Cal State San Marcos, Mira Costa and Palomar College.  He was a scholarship student at North Texas State University but left his studies early to take a position with the San Diego Symphony.  He has performed and toured with Buddy Rich, Thad Jones, Tommy Flanagan, Sheila Jordan, Kenny Barron, Shelley Manne, Jack Sheldon, Don Menza, Charles McPherson, Charlie Byrd, and Peter Sprague.   Gunnar is active in the classical world as well as the jazz world and has performed with Camarada, San Diego Opera, San Diego Chamber Orchestra and Orquesta de Baja California.  Mr. Biggs has recently finished his own CD, footprint, featuring all original compositions.
