Mannes College the New School for Music
David Mamedov was born on May 9, 1993 as a first-generation American in a family of immigrants from the Soviet Union. At the age of seven, he began piano lessons with Luba Fedorov at the Toedtman School of Music until his entry into Mannes College the New School for Music, where he is a junior on scholarship, studying with Eteri Andjaparidze. 

As a developing young artist, David has attended music festivals both abroad and in the United States, including the Corfu Music Festival (Greece) , Accent07 Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio, Lions Club International Festival (France), PianoSummer (New Paltz, NY) and Aspen Music Festival. As part of the Accent Touring ensemble, David and seven others performed in various cities Italy. In 2008 he performed in Carnegie Hall after a Gold Medal and Grand Prize from the Cincinnati World Piano Competition. 

In his time at Mannes, he has performed in several venues in NYC, including Steinway Hall, Weill Recital Hall, Polish Consulate, Ana Tzarev Gallery, and Mannes Concert Hall. In February 2013 he participated in Das Lied, an Art Song duo competition in Berlin with fellow student Enrico Lagasca.
