Not every revolution is noisy. Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll is a tender cradle-song, written as a gift to the love of his life. Beethoven never wrote anything more poetic than his Fourth Piano Concerto, just as he never wrote a sunnier – or funnier – symphony than his Fourth. Steven Osborne returns on the piano, and the RSNO’s leader Sharon Roffman directs the whole concert from the violin, just as they would have done in Beethoven’s day.

Join us at 6.45 for our pre-concert talk with RSNO Leader Sharon Roffman in conversation with Steven Osborne. Free to ticket holders.
