Amici Wind Quintet
Boston, Massachusetts
Thursday, 4 May 2017 - 7:30 PM
Each year, an audition committee of professional musicians selects a few exceptional student ensembles to represent the NEC Honors Ensemble Program. The ensembles work with a faculty coach and are given an opportunity to perform a spring recital in NEC's Jordan Hall.

Amici Wind Quintet is composed of Jisun Oh, flute; Elizabeth O'Neil, oboe; Matthew Griffith, clarinet; Kai Rocke, bassoon; Andrew Bass, horn. Their faculty coach is Richard Ranti.

The Amici Wind Quintet was founded at the New England Conservatory (NEC) in 2016. Amici won the woodwind division of the 2016-2017 Honors Ensemble competition at NEC, held in October 2016. They are committed to working with the youth of Boston. Amici has coached students at the Boston Latin School and performed outreach concerts for other schools including the Margarita Muñiz Academy. The quintet works closely with Richard Ranti of the Boston Symphony.
