With angelic countenances and voices to match, the world-famous Vienna Boys Choir will sing a varied program that will include many Christmas selections to usher in the holiday season.

Audiences and critics worldwide have praised the talented singers of the Vienna Boys Choir for their celestial voices, rapturous harmonies, pure tone, appealing demeanor, and a wide-ranging repertoire spanning centuries. Boys have been singing at Vienna's Imperial Chapel since 1296. In 1498, Maximilian I moved his court to Vienna and requested six singing boys to be among his musicians. This marked the foundation of what is known today as the Vienna Boys Choir.

With a rich history dating back more than 500 years, the Vienna Boys Choir has been associated with many of the world’s great composers, including Mozart and Bruckner; Franz Schubert himself was a chorister. There are currently 100 choristers between the ages of nine and 14, divided into four touring choirs. They give around 300 concerts each year, attended by almost half a million audience members around the world. Choirmaster Bomi Kim will lead the Kansas City concert.
