Boulder Symphony, the Community Orchestra of Boulder County, invites you to “Français Fantastique”, our fourth symphony concert of the 2012/2013 season at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 8th at First Presbyterian Church, Boulder. The Symphony celebrates the most fantastic French music ever written across the ages. Join us for an early Valentine’s Day as the Symphony performs Hector Berlioz’s most famous testimonial of unrequited love, Symphonie Fantastic. Also on the program is the enchanting Prelude to the Afternoon of a Fawn by Claude Debussy, featuring principal flutist Kristin Stordahl, and Georges Bizet’s romantic L’Arlésienne: Suite No.1.
There will be a pre-concert talk hosted by KGNU’s Ron Nadel with conductor Devin Patrick Hughes in the Chapel at 6:15 pm.
