Ensemble: Opus One
During its residency at Curtis, the eminent chamber ensemble OPUS ONE—pianist Anne-Marie McDermott, violinist Ida Kavafian, violist Steven Tenenbom, and cellist Peter Wiley—performs chamber music with Curtis students. Anticipating the Schumann bicentenary in 2010, these recitals feature his three String Quartets, Op. 41; Andante and Variations, Op. 46; Piano Quintet, Op. 44; and Piano Quartet, Op. 47, as well as works by George Tsontakis and Marc Neikrug.
