Artist Janice Freeman has partnered with Home and Place, helping students in Kashmere Gardens Elementary and Garden Villas Music Academy to create collage art.
HGOco's Home and Place program is a collaboration with Houston Independent School District and Neighborhood Centers Inc. promoting place-building through art. Houston Grand Opera received a grant of $250,000 from a new private-public collaboration, ArtPlace to support Houston Grand Opera is the only Texas organization to receive this national recognition.
