The HD Duo (concert pianists David Oei and Helene Jeanney) in a live performance of Douglas Townsend's FOUR FANTASIES ON AMERICAN FOLK SONGS (1956) (for piano four-hands). The performance of all four movements took place at the Third Annual Social Networking Concert on April 24, 2012, at Saint Peter's Church in Manhattan. The four folks songs on which the fantasies are based are: Follow the Drinking Gourd, New River Train, Johnny Has Gone for a Soldier, and Two in One (Old Joe Clarke and Sourwood Mountain). Sound engineered by Eric Somers of Sandbook Studio. Film shot and edited by Dan Simon, filmmaker. (Townsend has orchestrated the four folk song fantasies, which version can be seen on this YouTube channel or heard at www.classicalmatters.com/douglas_t_music.htm. It is on rental from C.F.
