This concert was one of the 2-week Beethoven Festival. The concert was conducted by Bernard Haitink. Beethoven's 2nd started the concert nicely, followed by the 4th which is slightly less well known but has a beautiful Adagio movement. The CSO finished the concert with the Pastoral Symphony - what a beautiful piece. If one closes their eyes, you can imagine yourself to be walking in the countryside. I love the 4th piece with the thunder and storm - the CSO played it perfectly! Thank you for a wonderful concert.
