I have listened to the whole concert on the web page and I have to say that this is the best recording of Vivaldi that I have ever heard and I also have to say that the live performance that heard as St. Mark's when this was recorded was also the best that I have ever heard!
I have several very old vinyl 33 1/3 RPM recordings of Vivaldi going back to the 1960's the oldest of which was one of four double violin
concerti for two Violins and orchestra with Isaac Stern and David Oistrakh under Ormandy with William R. Smith cembalist. The first concerto on this record (the Concerto in D minor) was the second concerto in the program which I had never before heard live. This record along with one of Bach's 5th Brandenburg Concerto (with the Philadelphia Orchestra under Stokowski) at the same time was my first record purchase with my own money (I had been in the U.S. Navy for a year and a few months at that time.). I have three sets of the Four Seasons, one by I Solisti di Zagreb another as the first four concerti of a complete set of Opus 8 (IL Cimento Dell' Armonia e Dell' Invenzione) by I Musici the third by Anne-Sophie Mutter with von Karajan conducting the Wiener Philharmoniker on a CD. Of course, I have heard the Four Seasons performed live several times here in Philadelphia by the Philadelphia Orchestra and other performances at Curtis. There were also several other concerti in this program that I have on record that I have never before heard live. Both the performance and the technical quality of your recording is better than that of any of the records or CDs that I have!

It is wonderful to see a such a positive reply from you Judith. I haven't seen or heard from you in a very long (too long) time.

I really enjoyed some of the pieces. The orchestra pieces have really started to grow on me. The concert was really good.
