Having been present at the premiere, I do hope that the engineers have got rid of the excessive audience noise that went on throughout this work - I'm sure they have! No doubt this work will be a hit on Classic FM and for those listeners I commend this work. However, despite the excellent playing by orchestra and soloist, this is a very pallid and uninteresting affair which, in all honesty, I could not recommend. If the sun is out go and tend the garden.
