The Boehm was a recording I did in 2001 as a graduate student at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. It is a REAL (unedited) recording.

The Chant de Linos was recorded during one of my doctoral recitals at CCM. I made the bold (or perhaps crazy) decision to start my recital with this piece rather than starting with a warm-up piece and working up to it. I rather liked getting the big monster piece out there right in the beginning of the recital.

Hi, Nina--Great flute playing & musicianship. I'll have to see if you're on Rhapsody. (I just did, but couldn't find you there.) You might check into how to get your recordings onto this streaming audio service. It's another great way to introduce yourself to a wide audience. (You can select which tracks you want people to hear, and/or make them "buy only" etc.) Despite my 1100+ classical CD collection, I find myself listening to Rhapsody 99% of the time. I also value the CM list as a great way to find out about new pieces, performers, composers, etc. It's a great community, with a bunch of extremely knowledgeable members. Welcome aboard, and I look forward to hearing about your continuing success. Dave

Hi Nina,

I'm wondering if you know if there is an arrangement of the Boehm, Grande Polonaise for flute and orchestra? Thanks! Regards from NY, Bonnie Ham

Hi Bonnie:
I personally have never heard it done with orchestra although you could contact flute world or another sheet music company to see if it is in their cataloge. If t doesn't exist, maybe you could work with a composer to create one. If you do, let me know!

Thanks!

A student of mine has violin cues in her part and was hoping to perform the piece for a concerto competition she just won. I will keep looking for that elusive orchestration. Thanks again!

The violin cues are possibly for if the piece was being played on violin instead of flute, no?

This is great! It takes a heck of an accompanist, doesn't it? (Muczynski is one of my favorite composers.)
