Thank you for considering a donation to La Jolla Music Society.
La Jolla Music Society is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to presenting the world's finest emerging and established musicians, chamber music ensembles, orchestras, jazz musicians, and dance companies, as well as producing SummerFest, our very own music and dance festival in August throughout San Diego. Simply put, We Bring the World to San Diego.
Our Revelle Chamber Music Series, Frieman Family Piano Series, Discovery Series, Celebrity Orchestra Series, Jazz Series, Dance Series, and our internationally recognized SummerFest represent a diverse menu of over 40 performances each season. Pre-concert talks, open rehearsal, social events with artists and SummerFest's unique format offer many ways for children and adults to connect with the music and the artists.
Every year our Education and Community Engagement programs serve over 10,000 school students who attend special in-school presentations and concerts. Our model program, the Community Music Center in southeast San Diego, gives over 150 children the opportunity to study and perform classical music at no cost to the families. These children receive year-round musical instruction taught by bi-lingual teachers. After two years in the program, they are gifted their instrument to continue their studies.
La Jolla Music Society creates opportunities for all to experience the power of the performing arts. In order to keep our programs accessible to the broadest audience possible, we rely on the generosity of individuals like you. Our loyal Patrons make it possible for us to make a difference in our community.
Please make a gift today. Help "bring the world to San Diego" and contribute to its quality of life. Names of donors of $250 or more, annually, will be acknowledged in our concert program, unless anonymity is requested.
