Born in Szombathely, Hungary, Fanny Nemeth-Weiss started the cello at nine years old and studied in Zagreb (Croatia), Graz (Austria), Zurich and Basel (Switzerland) where she studied with Ivan Monighetti. Much liked the engaging performance of the Shostakovich Op 107 i by cellist, Nemeth-Weiss. She gets to the music's expressive core and raises goose-bumps in the brisk harrowing passages. Nice going!
