Theodore Oien, Clarinet
Theodore Oien joined the Detroit Symphony Orchestra as Principal Clarinet in 1988, after serving as second and e-flat clarinetist of the Denver Symphony, and as Principal Clarinet of the Winnipeg Symphony and the CBC Winnipeg Orchestras. A former student of Richard Waller and Robert Marcellus, Oien holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Music from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
