Jan Martinik, Bass
Bass Born 1983 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World and Song Prize competitor Jan Martiník studied singing at the Janácek Conservatory, Ostrava with Eliška Pappová and took part in master classes with Peter Dvorský. In 2003 he won the Antonín Dvorák International Vocal Competition and second prize in the 2004 Mikuláš Schneider-Trnavský International Vocal Competition. I have never heard Jan before until I saw BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2009 competition. I love his voice and spark in his eyes, I was delighted seeing him in the final! Jan, I wish you all the best and I trust you will win it! GOOD LUCK!!! Ilona
