Bella Hristova, Violin
“Hristova played the work with passion from the very first note. She has an innate musicality that makes musical sense of each phrase she plays. Every sound she draws from her 1655 Amati is superb…By the time she had reached the final bars, everyone had become entranced by her playing.” - The Strad, October 2007 Violinist Bella Hristova’s playing “was a taste of heaven, effortlessly spun from charged lyricism to a fearlessly delivered Heifetz cadenza” wrote the New Zealand Herald about her...

I haven't been to the site for awhile for various reasons but I noticed I had good timing upon my return...the recording on the Naxos label has been made and is out. Here is the link I found: http://www.naxos.com/catalogue/item.asp?item_co...
and I just made my order for a copy via Amazon.Com
I was able to sample portions on the Naxos site and look forward to receiving the full performance. Congrats on your first solo recording!

After recently attending your concert here in southwest Oregon (with the Rogue Valley Symphoney and thank you so very much for coming to our small community), I did a search in hopes you had some recordings available. Apparetnly not yet, but thank you for introducing me to this web site and the selections that are here.
I did notice that part of your prize in winning the Michael Hill International Violin Competetion was a recording opportunity with the Naxos label. But when I visited their web site I could not find you listed as one of their artists yet.
I can't believe you won't be recording soon. Are there any plans in the near future, when you have the time and are not traveling, performing, studing, practicing, blogging, photographing, jogging etc.
I'll keep looking.....

Dear Rene,
It was my pleasure being in southern Oregon, and I really enjoyed playing the concerts!!! I had a very happy experience there!
Right now I'm still talking to Naxos, but it looks like I'll be making the recording in February, to be available a few months after that. I'll be recording Charles de Beriot's Works for Solo Violin, Vol. 1.
All the best, and I hope I get to come back to Oregon sometime!

Thank you. I had discovered the wonderful chamber performances and am in the process of listening to them. I am very grateful to this web site for making so much available.
When Bella performed here in Oregon she was a soloist performing the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with our Rogue Valley Symphony.
We also have an exception Chamber Music Concert series http://www.chambermusicconcerts.org/ celebrating it's 25 anniversary at Southern Oregon University. One of the recent chamber performances, by The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, performed the Capriccio by Strauss. I was glad to hear it again here with the Curtis On Tour ensemble, with Bella of course!
