UPCOMING CONCERT REPERTOIRE

Although not ‘concerts’ in the traditional sense, our two March productions should be outstanding, each in its own way!

Saturday, March 6, we return to the Lancaster Eagles for our GALA, ‘Lancaster Chorale Sings …and Swings!’. This 8-10PM program in a cabaret style features outstanding soloists from within Chorale, as well as our small ensemble, 10VOICES.

Popular MC, Thom Gall returns, as does the great jazz trio of Mark Flugge (piano), Doug Richeson (bass) and Dave Horsky (percussion); last year’s show-stopper and one of the era’s truly great jazz singers, Jeanette Williams, will be our special guest! Some musical surprises are in store for what promises to be an evening of ‘Vegas-style’ entertainment that’s unmatched in the area, so plan to get a table of friends and attend; admission is a tax-deductable contribution of $25 per person, and a cash bar and pub food are available … see you there!

As a way to pay back our community for over two decades of support, Chorale singers volunteer their services for AN OLD FASHIONED HYMN-SING, hosted by First United Methodist Church, 4PM Sunday, March 21st. No admission will be charged, suggesting rather that those in attendance bring a food item, with all contributions collected and taken to a local food bank for distribution.

We are hopeful of assembling over 500, and the audience will become the choir in this unique experience, with Chorale serving only as a core. Guest conductors and soloists will be featured, as we all join voices singing the great hymns of faith that have inspired and sustained us for generations! If you love the great old hymns, this is an experience you won’t want to miss, as it will create memories that will be with you for a lifetime!
