The Orchestra’s first performance, on January 13, 1929, took place in the Tucson High School Auditorium under its first conductor, Tucsonan Camil Van Hulse. The Orchestra played Schubert’s “Rosamunde Overture” and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.
