Charles Workman, Tenor
I discovered this website in February 2009, and as it listed many of my upcoming and past engagements I decided it could be quite useful, so I added some photos, audio files and a couple of links (although it now seems to have stopped automatically listing my upcoming engagements - these can be found on my personal website). To see my biography, calendar of upcoming engagements and some press reviews, please visit my personal website (see "Links"). (One hint re viewing this website: the "A...

I've just visited "Ruslan and Ludmila" in the Bolshoi Theatre. I'm very much impressed. You are the best singer, artist, musician of all the people I have ever listened to. Thank you! Hope, I'll can get to the perfomance tomorrow and once again enjoy the sound of your wonderful voice. Your work is flawless.

Sorry, I'm forced to use this site for communication, because I don't know how I can contact with you otherwise. First of all I want to tell that I'm not crazy fan and I don't want to annoy you. I'm just modest admirer. :) I'm inspired by your talent and yesterday I wrote a piano piece for you. After today's perfomance I wanted to give the gift personally (thanks to the december concert in which I took part, I was able to get backstage). But you left the dressing room very quickly and I didn't find you. I don't want such situation will be repeated tomorrow. That's why I'll simply go to the service entrance. Sorry for such many words, so I reached the reason of writing this message. I want to ask where should I wait for you, at the main service entrance? If you don't want to answer publicly my e-mail is al-karaulova@yandex.ru (but as I can see this site isn't very popular). Thank you! Sorry for troubling (and for my clumsy english too). (By the way, today it seemed to me that Naina was on your side at the beginning of the 5th act. Even Elena Zaremba couldn't hide her sympathy for your wonderful character:)

At last! New music! Thanks so much for it. I'm glad, I can hear at least one aria (duet) from Il Trionfo. It's beautiful. Probably, I won't see it alive... but it doesn't matter. The photos are nice too! I already know the videos you have added, because I have got DVD with Love for three oranges and with Acis and Galatea at home...
I wish you a nice day

Thanks a lot for adding the beautiful duet. I watched Il Trionfo in Stuttgart 3 weeks ago and this duet was my favourite. My good luck that this is the piece you chose to add...
I hope that there will be a CD or DVD of the whole production!

Thanks for your comment - I'm glad you like it and that you were able to see a performance. There were plans for a commercial DVD but unfortunately this fell through, and there won't be a radio broadcast so I'm afraid there will be no recording of this production - a shame as ive really enjoyed doing it!

Thanks for your comment! I don't have very many good (sound quality) recordings from performances, but I'll add some more when I can.
