David Soyer, legendary cellist, passed away at the age of 87 on February 25, 2010.  His charming wit, profound humanity, and extraordinary artistry will be deeply missed by us all. Born in Philadelphia, David studied with Diran Alexanian, Emanuel Feuermann, and Pablo Casals. He appeared in recital with Rudolf Serkin, Peter Serkin, Mieczyslaw Horszowski, and András Schiff.
