Soprano Maria Luigia Borsi was born in Sora, Italy and completed her formal musical studies with highest honors from the “P. Mascagni Music Institute” in Livorno, where her vocal instructors included Renata Scotto. In 2004 she performed the role of Liù (Turandot) at the Teatro alla Scala and Micaela (Carmen) at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo.
