Welcome to the InstantEncore page for the Calgary Scandinavian Centre Choir, under the direction of Heather Gamber! The main purpose of the choir is to keep the Scandinavian culture and heritage alive through its songs and music. Therefore, the main music the choir performs is in the languages of Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Icelandic and Danish. The Scandinavian Culture Society is the main Choir sponsor.

The Choir is a non-profit volunteer organization serving mainly Calgary and surrounding area, but will travel anywhere by invitation if time and money allows.

The Choir practices, rehearses and performs from August to June with a Christmas and New Year break. The Choir practices every Wednesday from 7.30 PM to 9.30 PM at The Scandinavian Centre, located at 739 20th Ave NW.

The Choir perform two main yearly concerts, one Chistmas Concert in December and one Spring Concert in May. Both are at The Scandinavian Centre.

We are currently recruiting singers of all walks of life, especially men, to join us in the new year for our spring concert! If you are interested in joining please contact the Choir President, Arne:
