The extraordinary pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet returns to the ISO with MacMillian’s Third Piano Concerto (“The Mysteries of Light”). A revival of the ancient practice of writing music based on the structure of the Rosary, the Minneapolis Star Tribune describes it as “… a wild ride, overflowing with color and incident. … Turbulent, incantatory and, at moments, luminous.”
