Portland Chamber Music Festival: Mozart, Sebastian Currier and Copland
This evening’s concert begins with a performance of the joyful C major Viola Quintet of Mozart. We also welcome composer Sebastian Currier, winner of the prestigious Grawemeyer Award, to introduce our performance of his trio, Verge. Our 19th season ends with Copland’s evocative ballet, Appalachian Spring, in its chamber version written for Martha Graham and originally entitled, “Ballet for Martha.”
