Charles Peltz, Director of Wind Ensemble Activities, conducts the world premiere of a composer-authorized transcription of Philip Glass's Concerto for Saxophone Quartet and Wind Orchestra, commissioned and performed by the NEC Honors Saxophone Quartet: Jake Dockterman, Alex Rezzo, Katy LaFleur, and Clayton Hamilton.The young composer responsible for this transcription, Juan F. Ruiz, is a 2010 recipient of a Creativity Foundation Legacy Prize.

Also on the program are works by Giacinto Scelsi and Giovanni Gabrieli. Richard Henebry '12 M.M. is guest conductor for the Schoenberg work.
