Join us as we celebrate legendary American composer Philip Glass and induct him into the American Classical Music Hall of Fame. We will also launch and showcase our new website. Light buffet and cash bar.

On the CSO program: Fanfare for the Common Man, which Copland wrote for the CSO, provides a forceful opening to a propulsive program whose centerpiece is the mesmerizing Double Timpani Concerto by Philip Glass, “America's most famous living composer” (The New Yorker). Scored for 14 timpani played by two CSO timpanists, this satisfyingly intense tidal wave of sound sets the stage for the unbridled excitement of Stravinsky's Firebird Suite.
