Matt Herskowitz, a graduate of Julliard and the Curtis Institute is orginally from New York and makes his home in Montreal.
A songwriter and arranger, Matt has collaborated with many artists and producers, most notably pop diva Lara Fabian. Matt's performance on the soundtrack of the Grammy-nominated film "The Triplets of Belleville" has earned Matt much popular and critical acclaim.
Matt premiered his latest piano concerto, "Undertow" in the fall of 2008 with the multi-genre chamber orchestra "Absolute Ensemble" at the Bremen International Musikfest in Bremen, Germany.
Dave Brubeck commented on Matt's performance "Hearing such technique almost ruined my day. I said to myself, 'This is the final straw. I'd better retire now'.
Ken and I are glad to be able to call Matt one of our friends as he very graciously volunteered to perform at our live radio concert here in Cedar City two years ago. Matt absolutely WOW'd the audience with his classical/jazz performances earning a standing ovation after each piece he played.
