One of the Orchestra’s members, trumpet player Dan Newell, has recently written and published Billy’s Band, a book and CD set designed for teachers and parents of Key Stage 1 children (age 5–7) to help explore musical ideas including pitch, tempo, dynamics, duration, texture, timbre and improvisation.
