Yo Yo Ma’s 2003 album Obrigado Brazil was an interesting cross-over album with an amazing group of musician friends, including Cyro Baptista, Sergio & Odair Assad, Paquito D’Rivera, Egberto Gismonti, and Kathryn Stott. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra is presenting Ma, Stott & the Assads in an April 23rd presentation entitled Viva Brazil! I wish I could be there!
