Ever since they launched for people, the biggest question for Google+ was when they would allow brands and companies to create pages like they have on Facebook. Well, the speculation is over, Google+ launched the ability to create Pages yesterday morning. The good news is that they are fairly simple to setup, and you can do it in your personal Google+ account. The bad news is that so far, there's not a huge amount of customization (Tabs, apps, etc) other than top images.
So Google+ fans can now rejoice that when they need to ask a company a question on their social media page, they can stay on Google+ and not have to go back to Facebook.
As we've noted before, we're not sold on Google+ beating out Facebook anytime soon, but that said, it's always good to claim your name, and to be in on the beginning of a major platform.
Pages are available for Local Businesses and Places (think Performance Venues), Products & Brands, Companies, Institutions, and Organizations, Arts, Entertainment, Sports, and "Others."
We've got a Rosebrook Classical Page on Google+, so if you're a Google+ user, feel free to add us in your Circles! We'll be adding our label clients to the platform very soon as well.
Let us know what you think of Google+ Pages!
We'd love to hear your thoughts on Facebook and Twitter (@RbClassical)
