We regret that due to illness, Maria João Pires has withdrawn from the concert on 26 October at short notice, and has been replaced by Rafal Blechacz, winner of the 15th Frédéric Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2005.

In October 2005 Rafal Blechacz won the 15th Frédéric Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw, and also all the special prizes of the Competition:  the Polish Radio Prize for the best mazurka performance, the Frédéric Chopin Society Prize for the best polonaise performance, the National Philharmonic of Poland Prize for the best concerto performance, and the Krystian Zimerman sponsored Prize for the best sonata performance.
