We are back in Austin after a fantastic couple of weeks coaching and performing in Topeka, Kansas as part of the Sunflower Music Festival. Before Sunflower, we were in Japan performing throughout the country. Needless to say, we are pretty tired! It feels good to be back in Austin for a few days to do laundry, catch up with friends, and perform yet another concert! Our good friend Matt Hinsley (whom we have known since our Oberlin days and pictured below) is presenting the Austin Goes Classical festival at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in conjunction with the Guitar Foundation of America 2010 Conference and Competition. It is a fantastic celebration of the collaborative spirit between many of Austin’s arts organizations. Congratulations Matt on this incredible event–you are definitely going to deserve that Martini when the week is done!
