The Art of Bryn Terfel
I was on a visit in London many years ago, and I loved the huge number of concerts I was able to enjoy. I recall going to the Wigmore Hall for a chamber music concert; when the concert ended, I noticed an announcement of a future concert with a singer’s name that I did not know at that time. The name was Bryn Terfel.
By now, of course Bryn Terfel is one of Britain’s best-loved singers, as comfortable in popular musical repertoire as he is in the great roles of opera. Deutsche Grammophon recently released this 2-CD collection.
This recording includes a huge range of Mr. Terfel’s interpretations:
Performed by Bryn Terfel (bass-baritone)
Here is “An die Musik” by Franz Schubert, performed by Bryn Terfel
And now he sings for you “In der Fremde” by RobertSchumann
And finally, he sings Suo-Gan, a folk song
