LocalArtsLive (LAL) is committed to helping the classical music community in the greater Philadelphia region.  As a one woman operation, keeping all the plates spinning in the acrobatic act necessary to run LocalArtsLive by myself is a fantastic challenge; yet wonderfully fulfilling at the same time.  Why?  Because I have the opportunity to work with amazingly interesting, talented, and dedicated musicians, fans, and volunteers.  LAL helps musicians and related organizations by creating or assembling marketing material and helping to build audiences for fledgling ensembles via periodic showcase presentations and web based publicity.  Many ensembles and musicians don't have the ability to raise funds themselves, so even modest levels of support from LocalArtsLive may contribute to their long term success.  Simply put, working together is more effective and more efficient than individual efforts.

So how can you help?

Financial Support

LocalArtsLive is always grateful for financial donations, and now that it's fiscally sponsored by The CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia, those donations are tax deductible.  The cost of running LocalArtsLive is low, but bills for basic services must still be paid and your contributions will help keep the lights on, website running, and other essentials necessary for day-to-day operation.   Click here to make a donation

Membership Support

One of the LocalArtsLive's greatest strengths is its community.  The size of the community, the connections within it, and the contributions from its members improve with active involvement.  If you are not already a member of LocalArtsLive, please consider joining.  It's free, and if you are a professional, I will add you to to the Professionals pages so others can find you.  If you prefer FacebookTwitter, or newsletters, please connect with them so you'll receive regular updates.

Blog support

Enjoy writing?  Classical music?  Both??  Consider writing blogs on LocalArtsLive.  All members can contribute, and new content is greatly appreciated.  Best of all, if you contribute on a regular basis, I may be able to help you obtain free press tickets to events.  No need for highly technical critical reviews - an inspiring description of your own experience at a concert is just the type of article that's best suited for this site.

Volunteer / Internship

There are many different ways to provide support so if you have a special talent or just want to get involved, please contact me.  Some of the work could be helpful for college students who are looking for hands on experience.  Others might find fulfilling activities with other classical music fans or musicians.

Spreading the word and attending events

If you like what you see here, tell your friends!  Tell your family!  Tell strangers on the street!  OK maybe not the last one, but the bottom line is that my ability to help the classical music community is directly related to how many people and organizations actively use this site and attend concerts, showcases, or other presentations; so the more the merrier.
