I have not been to a CSO concert since they came back from their Russia/Italy trip. They sensibly got out of town during our season but thats over now so its safe to return.
They have a concert today at the curious time (for a Tuesday) of 1:30. And I am looking forward to seeing Jaap van Zweden in action for the first time........and hearing how Gene Pokorny deals with RVW on his tubby tuba. And a little bit of Shosty to complete the programme which is billed as Beethoven 7!
