Well I am in London - at last - gasp!!!!  What a journey, but at least I made it, in the end only 4 and a half hours and a few minutes late.  There was a cracking good storm at O'Hare yesterday evening, lightning, an unbelievable solid wall of rain, and major hail rattling on my American Airlines 777.  All operations ceased.  When they started up again all the aircraft needed inspection for hail damage.  That took a further 90 minutes.

Actually we seem to have been lucky.  A friend returning to Canada after seeing Teseo on Wednesday evening was imprisoned during the storm on her aircraft and eventually the flight was cancelled so she spent the night in an O'Hare hotel and was shuttled out at 5 am today!

Well at least Terminal 3 at Heathrow was deserted at 1:45 pm.  There were no lines for the passport control - indeed ALL booths were manned and there was just me and one other passenger!  So that is my small sample experience from the border crisis front!

Anyway my day was pretty well wrecked but I am now feeling good.  At least I had slept well on the plane.  The secret is not to eat the food provided - certainly not at midnight!
