Teseo April 7-2

Teseo April 7We have two new productions opening between now and April 21 so everyone is working over this Easter weekend.  Teseo is still in the rehearsal room until next Thursday and Moscow had a really excellent smooth piano dress this afternoon.

I was down at the Fine Arts Building this morning and was engrossed in the remarkable work that James Darrah and Michael Beattie and these three really serious singers - Cecelia Hall, Manuela Bisceglia, and Renée Tatum, were doing.  We really are in for a major treat here!

I left the rehearsal at half time and made my way to the office for 45 minutes or so before grabbing a sandwich and making my way to the Harris Theater for the Moscow Piano Dress.

Chicago was looking bright and cheerful, and certainly in festive mood with masses of out of town mid-westerners making their way to the second city for their Easter break. There is fun at the CSO with Charles Dutoit in charge this week.  But the Lyric is now closed for this year although there is much theater available.  Always good stuff at the Goodman - of course Calixto Bieito's take on Tennesse Williams' Camino Real is the main attraction at the moment........and we have Eugene O'Neill coming up.

But the really important event will be COT of course.  You can a flavour of what we have to offer from the pictures here.  Below we have some hot stuff with Ashleigh Semkiw and Matt Boehler.  We are in for a fun time!

There are some new pictures on my photo site linked to at the top of this page.
