The American Baroque Orchestra in collaboration with St. Paul’s Episcopal, Fairfield, will performed an array of fascinating and multi-dimensional musical works, especially by Pergolesi, featuring violinist Joan Plana, singers Kathryn Aaron and Judith Malafronte, and the Trebles of St. Paul’s Choir.

The program included:

Pergolesi’s Violin Concerto in B-flat, Joan Plana leader
“La Folia” recreated with new variations by Joan Plana

Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, featuring Kathryn Aaron, Judith Malafronte, and the Trebles of St. Paul’s Choir, conducted by ABO artistic director Mark Bailey

The full choir of St. Paul’s, John Abdenour, music director, also performed Italianate works by Lotti, Ingegneri, and Tallis.
