In advance of the March release on the LPO Label, the 29 January 1991 live performance of Mahler’s Symphony No 8 with Klaus Tennstedt was reviewed in BBC Radio 3′s Mahler new releases edition of CD Review.

You can listen to the programme until Friday 18 February via iplayer (UK only), which includes two preview excerpts of the recording.   The Mahler reviews begin at 1hour 30mins into the programme, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s recording is reviewed at 2 hours 27 minutes.
